Information Technology Services
Our extensive business and information technology management experience
at both operational and executive levels has positioned us to
assist management of government as well as private sector entities
in taking full advantage of state-of-the-art technologies to develop
and implement more effective and efficient operations. These services
include a number of areas:
- Information Technology Planning and Evaluation engagements
involve the review of companies strategic Systems planning processes,
the conduct of feasibility studies to identify relevant cost-effective
alternatives, the evaluation and selection of hardware and software,
assessment of the architecture of current systems, definition
of user requirements, operations reviews, and projection of system
development program budgets.
- Rapid Application Development (RAD) engagements help organizations
create systems and processes for situations that demand precise
integration for business planning, systems development and field
implementation, by using shorter project phases, simultaneous
(rather than sequential) team assignments, incremental analysis,
design, development and implementation cycles, and advanced systems
development tools.
- Information Systems Development Support engagements assist
large-scale system development projects by using state-of-the-art
CASE tools to provide technical expertise in elements of the development
life-cycle, such as review of new or converted system module designs,
programming of assigned modules, development and implementation
of test plans consistent with systems requirements, provision
of necessary on-line or manual documentation, and installation
of modules, including system configuration, implementation scheduling,
system rollout, and post-implementation problem identification
and resolution.
- Database Design and Development engagements utilize the
latest system design and development tools, along with leading
edge architectures to devise database structures which operate
in conjunction with primary applications to support strategic
functions of an enterprise, such as executive information systems,
data warehouse structures or data mining operations which may
be established to address internal management priorities or respond
to external market pressures.
- Financial Management System, Internal Control and Computer
Security Reviews are engagements performed under AICPA or
0MB guidelines which analyze the capability of manual or computerized
internal and administrative control procedures to safeguard financial,
personnel, time and material, and information assets, consistent
with applicable standards for security and integrity, and which
result in identification and mitigation of client system vulnerabilities.
Our knowledge of administrative, financial and management information
systems encompass hardware and software from microcomputer through
mainframe environments, in particular, the integration of client/server
architectures with advanced system development methodologies provides
unique opportunities for efficiency improvements of client information
resource management operations. We have experience in developing
and installing these systems, testing the adequacy of information
security procedures and interfacing administrative operations,
and reviewing management control procedures to facilitate meeting
operational efficiency goals.
